At the end of the day we move to our next destination but as they say it's important to remember to enjoy the journey as well.

Wolfe

Wolfe island is formed from layers of ash that were deposited after each eruption and compacted. The towering, unstable cliffs ring the entire island and prevent access to the interior from boat.

The frigate birds that live here lack the protective oils needed to catch their own fish. They must steal their meals from the other birds that are returning to their nests high in the cliffs.

Above us fly a frenzy of different birds each in competition with the other to survive on a tiny spit of land in the vast Pacific ocean..

The Galapagos is an island archipelago formed by a volcanic hotspot to the west. This isolated chain in the Pacific ocean created a foothold for all kinds of creatures that managed to find themselves swept far from the mainland.
