Wolf Island at the end of the day.
Wolfe Island, Galapagos

Wolfe island is formed from layers of ash that were deposited after each eruption and compacted. The towering, unstable cliffs ring the entire island and prevent access to the interior from boat.

The frigate birds that live here lack the protective oils needed to catch their own fish. They must steal their meals from the other birds that are returning to their nests high in the cliffs.

Above us fly a frenzy of different birds each in competition with the other to survive on a tiny spit of land in the vast Pacific ocean..
